NOR-BIH Invest AS was established by the Norwegian-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce (NBHK).

The inaugural meeting of NOR-BIH Invest AS took place yesterday at 18:30 at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Oslo. NOR-BIH Invest AS is a commercial and investment fund that seeks to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina and strengthen trade links between the two nations. Željko Komšić, the president of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also attended the meeting and contributed by suggesting the company’s constitution.

Ahmed Lindov, the head of the Norwegian-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce, gave a brief speech to kick off the meeting. The Bosnian and Herzegovina President then made an opening statement. He emphasized the significance of the relationship between BiH and Norway, highlighted the significance of the NOR-BIH Invest AS initiative, highlighted the significance of current investments in BiH, including Greenstat AS, and wished him luck as the project came to fruition.

In the following discussion, Ahmed Lindov presented the concept and constitution of the business NOR-BIH Invest AS and described the model. The audience then asked questions after that. A substantial number of shares had been sold prior to the start of the meeting. The company will eventually be listed on the Norwegian Stock Exchange, with a potential secondary listing on the Bosnian Stock Exchange.

Ahmed Lindov and Željko Komšić exchanged gifts and then adjourned the gathering.

The Norwegian-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors made a proposal for the formation of an investment company, where investors could gather with the aim of investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, realizing that the spread of risk will facilitate investment. Companies that are members of the NBHK, the Norwegian-Bosnian Chamber of Commerce, came up with the idea of forming an investment fund because they want to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The corporation will invest in new, small, and medium-sized businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company wants to involve investors from Norway and Bosnia in the value creation of these businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Owing to the high level of interest and the large number of firms represented at the meeting, participation was available both in person and via video link through Microsoft Teams. Many of the attendees (businesses) expressed interest to buy stock in NOR-BIH Invest AS.
